Explore the nightlife

After you've had your fill of adventure, transfer back to the city and enjoy dinner at one of Wellington's wonderful array of restaurants. Then take a short stroll down to Courtenay Place, the city's nightlife quarter, packed with vibrant bars, clubs, cafes, cinemas and theatres.


Day 2

Art and Culture

A visit to Wellington wouldn’t be complete without experiencing some of its celebrated art and culture. Spend the morning meeting local designers and artists on a walking fashion and arts tour of the central city. Go Behind the Scenes

Continue your exploration of the arts with Weta Studio Tours. Enjoy lunch and discover the secrets behind major movies that they have helped to create, including The Lord of the Rings, King Kong and Avatar. The facility is owned by WingNut Films, the production company of famed Kiwi director Sir Peter Jackson.

Later in the afternoon head back to the central city for a personalised shopping tour of one of Wellington’s iconic up-market stores or a curator tour of the Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa Tongarewa.

Get Amongst the Nightlife

Enjoy dinner at one of Wellington’s fine dining restaurants before taking a short stroll down to Courtenay Place, the city’s nightlife quarter, packed with vibrant bars, clubs, cafes, cinemas and theatres.


Day 3

Savour Wellington’s Wines

Wake early for a transfer to the nearby Wairarapa wine region, famous for its boutique wineries. Meet the vintners and enjoy some of the world’s best wines as you make your way around some of the award-winning wineries surrounding the settlement of Martinborough - the Wairarapa’s wine hub.

Flight of Fancy or Golf

Spend the afternoon among the clouds in a historic Tiger Moth bi-plane. Flights run from Hood Aerodrome, near Gladstone, providing a spectacular way to get a bird’s eye view of the beautiful Wairarapa region.

Farewell Dinner

Transfer back to Wellington city in a refurbished 1960’s railcar before heading to one of the capital’s most prestigious restaurants for a farewell dinner. A restaurant or gala dinner venue on the Wellington waterfront is an ideal place to watch the sun set on your memorable Wellington.
