In 2014, The CEO Institute’s Syndicate 65 won the opportunity to hold its syndicate meeting in beautiful Queenstown. The group travelled by gondola up Bob’s Peak, enjoying breakfast with panoramic views at Skyline Queenstown before undertaking the syndicate meeting on site. The group stayed at the Millennium Hotel Queenstown and the event programme was rounded out with activities including bungy jumping off Kawarau Bridge, wine tasting in the renowned Gibbston Valley vineyards, a stunning scenic helicopter flight, and a 4WD tour of Central Otago’s epic natural landscapes.

Attendee Dr Ian Lambert described the trip as “One of life’s great and memorable experiences.”

The CEO Institute is an invitation-only membership organisation for CEOs throughout Australia. As a partner of The CEO Institute Summit, a one-day symposium where the membership comes together for a day of learning and networking, Tourism New Zealand offers the syndicate group with the best annual attendance the opportunity to host one of its monthly meetings in New Zealand. Flights are provided by Air New Zealand and accommodation by Millennium Hotels & Resorts.

In August 2015, Syndicate 70 repeated the trip across the Tasman to Queenstown, undertaking another blockbuster programme.

The CEO Institute member services manager, Lorri Loca, said: “Queenstown is just awesome, it absolutely delivered. The attendees were so pleased, they were all talking about bringing their next conference there or returning with their families. When you are impressing people who tour the world on a regular basis you must be on to a good thing.”
